Alternative
The Collabstr alternative built in the UK
People look for a Collabstr alternative for ordinary reasons: a job it does not cover, a price that moved, or a product that grew in a direction they did not. Some of it is what public reviewers report, which is quoted with its source on the comparison page. This page is the honest version for UK brands: what changes on Herd, what you give up, and how the move actually goes.
A two-sided marketplace where creators list packages with published rates and brands book them through escrow. For a lot of people that is enough, and if it is enough for you there is no reason to move.
Herd is a UK product with three sides in one account. Creators run content, deals, contracts and invoices. Brands run campaigns, review content and pay creator invoices by card. Agencies run a roster with commission splits and white-label client portals. Herd costs £999/month for brands, billed in pounds. That breadth is the whole trade: Herd covers more of the week, and in a few places it covers it less thoroughly than Collabstr does.
The rest of this page is the practical version: what lands in the same account when you switch, what you give up by leaving Collabstr, what it costs in pounds, and the order to do the move in. There is no importer, so it is manual work, and that belongs above the pricing table rather than under it.
What changes when you switch
Each line below is something we could not find in Collabstr's published feature list when we checked on 21 September 2026, or a difference in how the two are priced. On Herd they are part of the same account, which is the practical difference a switch makes.
Not in Collabstr
Nothing for the creator business outside the marketplace: no publishing, no calendar, no media kit editor.
Not in Collabstr
No Gmail or Outlook inbox and no video meetings.
Not in Collabstr
No contracts with e-signature and no proposals.
Not in Collabstr
No agency roster, commission model or client portals.
Different on Herd
A 15% cut of creator payouts, against 0% on a Herd invoice.
Not in Collabstr
No UK expenses, cashflow or tax reporting.
In practice that means a campaign that carries the brief, the invited creators, the deliverables and the deadlines, content review instead of an approval thread in email, and a creator invoice you pay by card inside Herd. Herd has no audience-demographics database and no affiliate or sales attribution, so a discovery tool often stays.
What you would give up
A switch costs you something. These are Collabstr's advantages, not ours, and any one of them can be a good reason to stay where you are.
- More than 200,000 creators with published rates, according to third-party listings, which you can book directly.
- Transparent, listed pricing per creator, which removes a whole round of negotiation.
- Escrow, so neither side has to trust the other on a first booking.
- No subscription needed for a brand to get started.
Moving over
There is no importer. Herd cannot read a Collabstr export, and we would rather say that plainly than bury it. Moving is manual, for most people an afternoon rather than a fortnight, and this is the order that leaves the fewest gaps.
Move the live work
Past orders do not transfer. Re-enter the creators you keep working with as deals in Herd.
Rebuild the media kit and rate card
Creators: your Collabstr listing does not move. Build a media kit and rate card in Herd instead.
Connect Stripe
Set up Stripe in Herd so payments come to you without a marketplace cut.
Keep what still works
Keep Collabstr for inbound discovery if that is where your bookings come from.
What each one costs
According to third-party listings, brands use a free Basic plan with a 10% marketplace fee, or pay $299 or $399 a month in USD, and creators pay 15% on payouts. Collabstr does not publish those figures in a form we could read directly, so they come from a third-party listing, last checked on 21 September 2026. Herd is priced in pounds and costs £999/month for brands, with 17% off when you pay for the year and a 14-day cooling-off period on every paid plan.

Campaigns
One campaign record both sides can see
A Herd campaign holds the brief, the creators, the deliverables and the dates, and the creator is looking at the same record from their own account. That is the part a discovery tool cannot do, because the creator is not in it.
- Briefs, creator invitations, deliverables and deadlines on one campaign.
- Content review with real statuses, instead of approvals buried in a reply-all thread.
- The creator answers inside the campaign, then invoices you through it.
Moving from Collabstr
- No. Herd has no importer for Collabstr. You rebuild the pages that matter, re-enter the live work, connect Stripe and leave finished work where it is. The steps on this page are the whole job.
- Yes, and for a month or two that is usually the sensible way to do it. Nothing in Herd depends on Collabstr being switched off, so you can let a reporting cycle or a billing period finish before you cancel.
- Herd does not publish to LinkedIn or Pinterest, has no link-in-bio page, no affiliate link or sales attribution, no Shopify integration and no audience-demographics database of its own. Agencies get an external index of 300M+ public profiles; brands search the creators who are on Herd.
- Every figure was checked on 21 September 2026 against the source linked above. Prices and plan contents change, so read Collabstr's own pricing page before you decide, and tell us at support@herduk.co.uk if something here is out of date.
