Herd vs Modash
An influencer discovery and campaign tracking platform for brands, built on a very large index of creator profiles with audience data. This page puts it beside Herd for UK brands, with the pricing checked on 21 September 2026 and the places Modash wins written down as such.

The short version
Modash wins on discovery by a distance and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Herd wins once the creator is found: the brief, the contract, the approvals, the invoice and the creator working on the same record. Large brands often run both. Smaller UK teams usually need the second half more than the first.
Modash is run from Tallinn, Estonia. It suits brands and agencies whose main problem is finding creators and verifying their audience. If you need to filter 380 million profiles by audience location and check for fake followers, Modash does that and Herd does not.
Herd is a UK product with three sides in one account. Creators run content, deals, contracts and invoices. Brands run campaigns, review content and pay creator invoices by card. Agencies run a roster with commission splits and white-label client portals. Herd costs £999/month for brands, billed in pounds. That breadth is the whole trade: Herd covers more of the week, and in a few places it covers it less thoroughly than Modash does.
Feature by feature
Every line in the Herd column is a feature that works today. The Modash column is what its own site and the listings we read showed on 21 September 2026: a dash means we could not find the feature there, and a plan name in the Herd column is the plan the feature starts on.

Where Modash is stronger
Nothing below is a concession for the sake of looking fair. These are the parts of Modash that Herd either does not have or does less well, and if one of them is the deciding factor for you, buy Modash.
- A 380 million profile index with audience demographics and fake-follower checks. Herd cannot match this and does not claim to.
- Published, self-serve pricing in a category where most competitors hide behind a demo form.
- A 14-day free trial on the discovery product itself.
- Based in Tallinn, Estonia, inside the EU.
- Shopify and affiliate tracking for ecommerce brands.
What Herd adds
The other direction. These are jobs Herd covers that we could not find in Modash's published feature list when we checked on 21 September 2026, taken from the same list as the table above, plus the differences in how the two are priced. Some of them sit on the higher Herd plans, and the pricing below says which.
- No creator-facing product, so the creator you are working with is not in the system with you.
- No agency roster, commission splits or payouts.
- Contracting is manual. There is no contract builder or e-signature.
- No content calendar or publishing for your own channels.
- No video meetings and no white-label client portal.
- USD only, with no GBP pricing.

What people say
We have no data of our own on how Modash treats its customers, and no opinion to add. What follows is a summary of public reviews as they stood on 21 September 2026, each linked to its source so you can read them and make your own mind up. Review scores move, so check the source rather than this page.
Reviewers on G2, read on 21 September 2026, mention credit overages catching teams out, thin audience data on very small creators, and a messaging interface that is limited compared with a full inbox.

Campaigns
One campaign record both sides can see
A Herd campaign holds the brief, the creators, the deliverables and the dates, and the creator is looking at the same record from their own account. That is the part a discovery tool cannot do, because the creator is not in it.
- Briefs, creator invitations, deliverables and deadlines on one campaign.
- Content review with real statuses, instead of approvals buried in a reply-all thread.
- The creator answers inside the campaign, then invoices you through it.
Herd and Modash, asked and answered
- Only partly, and it is worth being clear about that. Modash searches 380 million profiles with audience data. Herd searches creators who are on Herd, and the Agency plan adds an external index of 300 million public profiles. If discovery scale is the job, Modash is the better tool.
- Not on the entry plan. Modash Essentials is $199 a month billed annually. Herd Brand is £999 a month, but it covers campaigns, contracts, payments, an inbox, meetings and ten seats rather than discovery alone.
- You can find creators, track posts and, on Performance, pay them. What you cannot do is issue a contract, get it signed, run the approval thread or see the deal from the creator’s side. Herd covers that part.
- Yes. A common split is Modash to find and vet creators, then Herd to brief, contract, approve and pay them. Nothing in either product stops you doing that.
