The short version
Passionfroot is excellent at one thing: turning a sponsorship into a package a brand can book without a conversation. Herd does not do that as neatly, and charges a subscription where Passionfroot takes a cut. Herd earns its price once you have contracts to sign, invoices to chase and a tax return to file.
Passionfroot is run from Berlin, Germany. It suits newsletter writers, podcasters and creators who sell repeatable sponsorship slots and want a brand to book one without an email thread.
Herd is a UK product with three sides in one account. Creators run content, deals, contracts and invoices. Brands run campaigns, review content and pay creator invoices by card. Agencies run a roster with commission splits and white-label client portals. Herd costs from £99/month for creators, billed in pounds. That breadth is the whole trade: Herd covers more of the week, and in a few places it covers it less thoroughly than Passionfroot does.
Feature by feature
Every line in the Herd column is a feature that works today. The Passionfroot column is what its own site and the listings we read showed on 21 September 2026: a dash means we could not find the feature there, and a plan name in the Herd column is the plan the feature starts on.

Where Passionfroot is stronger
Nothing below is a concession for the sake of looking fair. These are the parts of Passionfroot that Herd either does not have or does less well, and if one of them is the deciding factor for you, buy Passionfroot.
- A productised booking flow: a package, a date, a payment, without an email thread.
- Free for the creator, where Herd charges £99 a month before you can send a real invoice.
- A brand-side demand network that can bring inbound deals, which Herd does not have.
- A media kit with live stats and an availability calendar.
What Herd adds
The other direction. These are jobs Herd covers that we could not find in Passionfroot's published feature list when we checked on 21 September 2026, taken from the same list as the table above, plus the differences in how the two are priced. Some of them sit on the higher Herd plans, and the pricing below says which.
- No social publishing and no content calendar.
- No Gmail or Outlook inbox.
- No contract builder and no e-signature.
- No video meetings and no calendar sync.
- No agency side: no roster, commission splits or client portals.
- No expenses, cashflow or tax view.

Media kit
A page a brand can read before they reply
The media kit is a live page rather than a PDF that goes stale in a download folder. It takes its per-network numbers from the accounts you have connected, sits next to your rate card, and keeps the same link when you update it.
- A public page at herduk.co.uk/yourname with per-network figures from your connected accounts.
- A rate card of priced packages you can share, and proposals built from those same packages.
- You decide when it goes public, and the link does not change afterwards.
Herd and Passionfroot, asked and answered
- Not up front, and often not at all. Passionfroot is free for creators: the brand pays a 2% fee on a direct booking, and a 15% fee applies to deals matched through the Partner Network. Herd charges £99 a month on Starter and takes 0% of an invoice, so it only works out cheaper if you would otherwise pay more than £99 a month in network fees, which is 15% of about £660 of matched deals.
- Herd has a rate card with priced packages you can share with a brand, and proposals built from those packages. It does not have Passionfroot’s availability calendar or a self-serve checkout on your page.
- Not through a demand network. Brands on Herd can search creators and send campaign invitations, and inbound approaches land in your opportunities queue, but we do not match deals for a fee and we do not promise leads.
- Publishing, a real email inbox, contracts with e-signature, video meetings, expenses and a tax view, plus the brand and agency sides of the same deal. Passionfroot handles the booking. Herd handles the year around it.
