The short version
Upfluence is the better platform if your creators come from your own customer base and you need sales attributed back to them. Herd is the better platform if you want a published price, no twelve month commitment, and a creator who can run their own side of the deal. The affiliate gap is real and we will not pretend to close it.
Upfluence is run from New York, US. It suits ecommerce brands who want to recruit creators from their own customer base and track sales back to them, on an annual contract.
Herd is a UK product with three sides in one account. Creators run content, deals, contracts and invoices. Brands run campaigns, review content and pay creator invoices by card. Agencies run a roster with commission splits and white-label client portals. Herd costs £999/month for brands, billed in pounds. That breadth is the whole trade: Herd covers more of the week, and in a few places it covers it less thoroughly than Upfluence does.
Feature by feature
Every line in the Herd column is a feature that works today. The Upfluence column is what its own site and the listings we read showed on 21 September 2026: a dash means we could not find the feature there, and a plan name in the Herd column is the plan the feature starts on.

Where Upfluence is stronger
Nothing below is a concession for the sake of looking fair. These are the parts of Upfluence that Herd either does not have or does less well, and if one of them is the deciding factor for you, buy Upfluence.
- A very large creator index with ecommerce integrations, including recruiting creators from your own customers.
- Affiliate links and sales attribution that Herd does not have.
- Rated 4.6 on G2 across 139 reviews when we checked on 21 September 2026, with reviewers noting the support and onboarding.
What Herd adds
The other direction. These are jobs Herd covers that we could not find in Upfluence's published feature list when we checked on 21 September 2026, taken from the same list as the table above, plus the differences in how the two are priced. Some of them sit on the higher Herd plans, and the pricing below says which.
- Quote-only pricing with a twelve month minimum, so the cost is unknown until you talk to sales.
- No creator-facing product with its own pipeline, invoices or media kit.
- No agency commission splits, payouts or white-label client portals.
- No Gmail or Outlook inbox and no in-app video meetings.
- No GBP pricing.
Pricing side by side

Campaigns
One campaign record both sides can see
A Herd campaign holds the brief, the creators, the deliverables and the dates, and the creator is looking at the same record from their own account. That is the part a discovery tool cannot do, because the creator is not in it.
- Briefs, creator invitations, deliverables and deadlines on one campaign.
- Content review with real statuses, instead of approvals buried in a reply-all thread.
- The creator answers inside the campaign, then invoices you through it.
Herd and Upfluence, asked and answered
- Upfluence does not publish prices. Third-party listings put it between roughly $478 and more than $3,000 a month with a twelve month minimum. Herd Brand is £999 a month and Herd Agency is £1,999, both published, with a live demo before you commit.
- For a UK brand or agency that pays creators on deliverables, yes, and at a known price. For an ecommerce brand recruiting creators from its own customer list and tracking sales, no. Herd has no ecommerce integration or affiliate tracking.
- It manages campaigns, not rosters. There is no commission split, no payout model and no white-label client portal, which are the three things a talent agency needs most. Herd Agency is built around them.
- Third-party listings describe a twelve month minimum on Upfluence. Herd is monthly or annual, cancellable from your settings, with a 14-day cooling-off period on paid plans.
